In the first quarter of 2023, the fast food and fast casual restaurant apps on Android in the Middle East exhibited diverse performance trends. Here's a closer look at how the top five apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

McDonald's saw a mixed trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 28K in late December and experiencing a dip to around 16.4K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated slightly, peaking at around 277K in early February and settling at approximately 272K by the end of the quarter.

KFC Saudi Arabia experienced a strong start in Q1 with downloads peaking at around 22K in late January. However, downloads decreased to approximately 13.7K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at around 97K in early January and ending the quarter at approximately 77K.

KFC UAE (United Arab Emirates) also showed a varied performance. Downloads started at about 18.6K in late December and decreased to around 9.2K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, peaking at around 93K in late December and declining to approximately 69K by the end of March.

ALBAIK, which was released in January 2023, saw an initial spike in downloads with a peak of 17.1K in mid-February. By the end of March, downloads had decreased to around 9.1K. Active users showed a similar trend, reaching a peak of approximately 44K in mid-February and ending the quarter at around 34K.

Kudu Saudi Arabia had a notable spike in downloads in March, peaking at around 59.2K during the week of March 13. Active users also saw a significant increase during the same period, reaching approximately 59.8K. However, both metrics saw a rapid decline towards the end of the month.
